Exercise 1
1)صنع الأولاد مركبًا كبيرًا.
Sana al-awlaadu markaban kabeeran.
The boys are making a big boat.
سيسافر الأولاد إلى مكان بعيد.
Sa-Yusaafiru al-awlaadu ilaa makaan ba-eed.
The boys will travel to a far place.
أخذوا معهم ملابس و خريطة.
Akhazoo maa'hum malaabis wa khareethah.
They are taking with them clothes and map.
وحملوا شبكة وبندقية وحبلا.
Wa hamaloo shabkah wa Bunduqiyah wa hablan
And they are carrying a net and gun and rope.
هناك تمساح كبير.
Hunaaka thimsaah kabeer
There is a big crocodile.
معي بندقية جديدة.
Mayee bunduqiyyah jadeedah
I have with me a new gun.
يصطاد الأولاد السّمك بالشبكة.
Yasthaadu Al-awlaadu as-samak bish-shabkah
The boys are hunting the fish with the net.
يشوي الأولاد السّمك على النار.
Yashwee Al-awlaadu as-samak alaa an-naar
The boys are grilling fish on fire.
المركب يصل إلى وسط البحر.
Al-markab Yasilu ilaa wasath al-bahr.
The boat has reached the middle
of the sea.

Ath-thaairathu thahbithu fil mathaar
The plane is landing at the airport.

المركب يبتعد من الشّاطئ
Al-markabu yabtaiddu min ash-shaatee.
The boat is getting far away from the beach.

استعدّوا سنسافر حول الخليجIsthaiddoo sanusaafiru hawl al-khaleej.
Get ready to travel around the gulf.
البالون يطير الآن
Al-baloon yatheeru alaan.
The balloon is flying now.
اِتَّجِهُّ إلى الغرب
Ith-tha-jiho ilaa al-garb.
Head toward the west.

Hunaaka thaairah thaq-tharibu.
There is a plane approaching.

اتّجه إلى الشرق.
Ith-tha-jiho ilaa ash-sharq.
Head toward the east.
هذه الكويت.
Haazihee al-Kuwait.
This is Kuwait.
اتّجه إلى الجنوب.
Ith-tha-jiho ilaa al-janoob.
Head toward the south.

This is Bahrain.
البلون يهتزّ.
Al-baloon yahthazzu.
The balloon shakes.
البلون يطير فوق الجبال.
Al-baloon yatheeru fawqa al-jibaal.
The balloon flies over the mountains.
سنهبط فوق هذا الجبل.
Sanahbithu fawqa hazaa al-jabl.
We will land on this mountain.
New method ( Usage of prepositions ):
1)
Question:
أين يطير البالون ؟
Aina yatheeru al-baaloonah?
Where is the balloon flying?
Answer:
هو يطير فوق الجبال.
Huwa yatheeru fauqa al-jibaal.
It is flying above the mountains.
Question:
أين يغني الأولاد؟
Aina yughannee Al-awlaadu?
Where are the boys singing?
Answer:
هم يغنون تحت الشجرة
Hum yaghnoona thaht ash-shajarah.
They are singing below the trees.
Question:
أين يلعبون الأولاد؟
Aina yalaboona Al-awlaadu?
Where are the boys playing?
Answer:
هم يلعبون في الحديقة.
Hum yalaboona fil Hadeeqah.
They are playing in the garden.
4) Question:
أين يسبح الولد؟
Aina Yasbahu Al-Waladu?
Where is the boy swimming?
Answer:
هو يسبح في البحر
Huwa Yasbahu fil Bahar.
He is swimming in the sea.
Question:
أين يجلس الأولاد؟
Aina yajlisu al-awlaadu?
Where are the children sitting?
هم يجلسون حول المائدة
Hum yajlisoona haula al-maaidah.
They are sitting around the table.
Question:
أين تمشي البنت؟
Aina thamshee al-binth?
Where is the girl sitting?
Answer:
هي تمشي بين الأشجار
Hiya thamshee baina al-ashjaar.
She is walking between the trees
يركب الأولاد البالون.
Yarkabu al-awlaadu al-baaloon.
The boys ride the balloon.
سيسافر الأولاد إلى مكان بعيد
Sayusaafiru al-awlaadu ilaa makaan bayeed.
The boys will be travelling to a distant place.

Yattajihu al-baaloon ilaa al-janoob.
The balloon is heading to the south.
هو يطير فوق الجبال .
Huwa yatheeru fauqa al-jibaal.
It flies over the mountains.

Al-baaloon yatheeru fauqa madeenah.
The balloon flies over a city.
يشاهد الأولاد مسجدا و مدرسة .
Yushaahidu al-awlaadu masjidan wa madrasah.
The children see a Mosque and school.

Haazaa bait.
This is a house.
في البيت نار .
Fil baith naar.
The house is on fire.
يقترب البالون من البيت .
Yaqtharibu al-baaloon min al-baith
The balloon is approaching the home.

البالون يقف أمام البيت .
Al-baaloon yaqifu amaam al-baith.
The balloon stops in front of the house.
يدخل الأولاد البيت .
Yadkhulu al-awlaadu al-baith.
The boys enter the house.
النار في المطبخ وغرفة النوم.
An-naar fil mathbakh wa gurfath-in-nawm.
The fire is in the kitchen and bedroom.

الأسرة في غرفة الجلوس .
Al-usrah fee gurfahth-il-juloos.
The family is in the living room.
يكسر الأولاد باب الغرفة.
Yaksuru al-awlaadu baab al-gurfah.
The boys break the door of the room.
في الغرفة رجل و امرأة وولد و بنت .
Fil gurfah rajulun, wa imra-athun wa waladun wa binth.
In the room there is a man and a woman and a boy and a girl.

يقف البالون أمام المستشفى .
Yaqifu al-baaloon amaam al-musthashfaa.
The balloon stops in front of the hospital.
يحمل الأولاد الأسرة.
Yahmilu al-awlaadu al-usrah
The boys carry the family.
يتجة الأولاد إلى غرفة الطبيب
Yath-thajih al-awlaadu ilaa
gurfath-ith-thabeeb.
The boys go to the doctor's room .

تقف الأسرة أمام باب المستشفى .
Thaqifu al-usrath amaam baab al-musthashfaa.
The family stands in front of the hospital door.
الأسرة سعيدة الآن .
Al-usrah sayeedah al-aan.
The family is happy now.
يطير البالون و يتجة إلى الشرق .
Yatheeru al-baaloon wa yath-thajih ilaa ash-sharq.
The balloon flies to the east.
Exercise 9
Complete the sentences with the help of the pictures:
1)
أذهب إلى المدرسة بالدرجة
Azhabu ilaa al-madrasah bid-darraajah.
I go to the school by cycle.
2)
أذهب إلى السوق بالحافلة.
Azhabu ilaa As-sook bil-haafilah.
I go to the market by bus.
3)
أذهب إلى الحديقة بالسيارة.
Azhabu ilaa al-hadeeqah bis-sayyarah.
I go to the garden by car.
4)
أذهب إلى القلعة بحصان.
Azhabu ilaa al-qilah bi-Hisaan
I go to the fort by horse.
5)
أذهب إلى المدينة بالقطار.
Azhabu ilaa al-Madeenah bil-Qitaar.
I go to the city by train.
6)
أذهب إلى الملعب بالبالون.
Azhabu ilaa al-maláb bil-baaloon.
I go to the playground by balloon.

1)
أين يقف البالون؟
Aina yaqifu al-baaloon?
Where has the balloon stopped?
يقف البالون في الحديقة.
Yaqifu al-baaloon fil Hadeeqah.
The balloon has stopped in the garden.
2)
ماذا يحمل الولد الكبير ؟
Mazaa yahmilu al-walad al-kabeer?
What is the big boy carrying?
هو يحمل الحقيبة.
Huwa yahmilu al-walad haqeebah.
He is carrying a bag.
3)
ماذا تحمل البنت الصغيرة ؟
Mazaa Tahmilu al-bint as-sagheer?
What is the small girl carrying?
هي تحمل آلة التصوير .
Hiya Tahmilu aalath ath-thasweer.
She is carrying a camera.
4)
ماذا تحمل البنت الكبيرة ؟
Mazaa thahmilu al-bint al-kabeerah.
What is the big girl carrying?
هي تحمل سلّة من الفواكه.
Hiya Tahmilu sallah min Al-fawakih.
She is carrying a basket of fruits.

Mazaa yahmilu al-walad as-sagheer?
What is the small boy carrying?
هو يحمل المظلة.
Huwa yahmilu al-mizillah.
He is a carrying a umbrella.
6)
أين يذهب البالون؟
Aina yazhabu al-baaloon?
Where is the balloon going?
البالون ذاهب إلى الجبال.
Al-Baaloon yazhabu ilaa al-jibaal.
The balloon is going to the mountains.
